Success comes quickly: those first small hops soon turn into real flights. With a few determined steps, you’ll truly leave the ground behind. Check our schedule for the next available dates.

Requirements are a minimum age of 14 and a weight of at least 40 kg. No special talents or extraordinary skills required—just curiosity, interest, a bit of persistence, and a steady stride. Focus and good coordination help. For more details, check our paragliding FAQ.

Whatever your background, your learning curve will be steep. With every drill, you’ll get a better feel for your glider.

Mastering inflation, control, and landings

Once the flying bug bites, the basic course takes you back to the slope for about five days of ground handling and perfecting take-offs and landings. Short glides are part of the fun, as you specifically prepare for your very first high-altitude flight.

To ensure rapid progress, you’ll get direct, real-time feedback on every exercise, launch, and landing.

As your training is logged, you’ll develop a natural intuition for the wing’s feedback, and your movements will become increasingly fluid and light.

Flying… higher, further, and longer

Your first high-altitude flight awaits as soon as you can reliably inflate the wing in various winds and master gentle landings.

As a student, you’ll be guided through your high-altitude flights step-by-step via radio under the watchful eye of your instructor. Each flight comes with a specific mission tailored to your progress.

These flights provide massive practical experience, paired with bite-sized theory sessions.

Depending on the weather and your schedule, the full training takes a few months. Dedicated students can reach the finish line in three to four months. Since every season offers unique flying conditions, we recommend experiencing all of them as possible during your training.

You’ll master flight maneuvers, catch your first thermals, and work on staying up longer. You’ll learn to read launch and landing sites and take an active part in weather briefings to judge the conditions like a pro before you even leave the ground.

With growing experience, you’ll rely less on your instructor and soon start planning your own landing approaches. As you advance, we’ll let you fly on a "long leash" to chase and core your own thermals.

The All-in-One Package to your License

The certification course takes you all the way from the nursery slope to your pilot’s license. You’ll log numerous high-altitude flights across different regions. Soon, you’ll be flying your own gear—tailored to your size and weight—equipment that will keep you smiling long after you’ve graduated.

The goal is clear: becoming more experienced, more confident, and less dependent on the school. The more time you invest, the sooner you’ll be ready for your practical exam.

Parallel to your flights, you’ll dive into the theory through self-study and aim to pass the written exam early in your career. You’ll keep refining your launch technique through ground handling and sharpen your maneuvers during high-altitude flights.

For those who want more, join our student-friendly flight trips to breathtaking destinations far beyond Switzerland.

The learning curve stays steep, and there’s an incredible world left to discover once you’ve earned your license and head out for your own independent adventures.
